Help Assistant

Overview

Linking user documentation to an application to produce context-sensitive help can be a long, tedious, error-prone task. Help Assistant provides functionality to bridge that gap and make the reconciliation between generated code and help documentation easier.

Help Assistant provides an simple interface to the CA Gen encyclopaedia which allows direct updating of GUI Help Ids thus removing the need to download subsets to make such changes.

Help Assistant also provides an interception program which amends generated GUI resource files (RC) and header files (H) automatically, reconciling the mapping with Topics in user documentation (HLP / HPJ).
