Release 7.7 is now available for download from the IET web site.
This release implements 140 individual enhancements to GuardIEn, the Assistants, XOS, genIE, and Object List+.
Most of these enhancements have been requested by customers and improve the products functionality, usability and performance.
Highlights of this major new release include:
VerifIEr is an automated tool for verifying that project deliverables meet your standards. It can check the contents of CA Gen models, external modules and other data sources, for example, configuration data stored in GuardIEn.
VerifIEr can automate most compliance and QA checking tasks, thus freeing up experienced Gen developers for more value added activities.
Verification checks can be performed on an entire model, selected objects or the contents of a GuardIEn Change Request, Release Pack or System Update. Checks can be invoked on demand, scheduled in batch, performed automatically on upload or as part of a GuardIEn System Update.
VerifIEr is supplied with a set of standard checks and is designed to be rapidly customised to meet site specific requirements, either by IET or by the customer.
The genIE Expression Builder is a powerful new tool for building complex expressions when editing and creating statements using genIE Direct. The Expression Builder coupled with extensive support for adding more types of statements greatly increases the ability of genIE Direct to update action diagrams direct from the encyclopaedia without the need for a download.
Editing of a Dialog Flow's properties is now possible via Object List+ and also Object Structure Diagram (View Mapping). You can not only edit the view mapping, but also the flow's properties such as commands and exit states involved etc.
GuardIEn has been enhanced to allow the inclusion of RI Triggers in a migration definition. When an RIT is scoped into the migrate, GuardIEn uses the migration rules defined for the ENT deliverable type to determine the source and destination models. It then scopes the appropriate object since RI triggers cannot be directly migrated but are migrated via associated objects.
You can now automatically enable the trace option for development and system updates.
